Broken... But Still Smiling

Sunday, July 8.

*Disclaimer: This post may not be very coherent.*

Yesterday most of my family went to El Paso for Alex's birthday party, but I had no idea that they were gonna come to Las Cruces to visit me today. I was pleasantly surprised.

The first people who came to visit me was my Tia Pati and Cousins Mireya, Cruz, and Cindy! Out of all of my cousins, I could safely say that I'm closest with them. :)
Love the Chrome logo on the front!

The girls gave me a cute "Get Well Soon" card and even brought some pie! Thanks girlies! :D

Later in the evening, more of my family came over! Tias Mari, Blanca; Tios Robert, Rica; Cousins Bobby, Arielle, Alex, Christopher, Bella. I'm pretty sure I got asked about 10 times what happened to my foot! lol I think I should just get a sign and wear it around my neck, saying something like: "I fell off a longboard. K? K!"
Family <3
Most of my aunts and uncles were sitting in the living room, and all of the little ones were playing Monopoly on the kitchen table.
While the kiddos played Monopoly, we were working on a puzzle and playing Aggravation on the other side of the table. I was on the same team as my Aunt Mari (since Cruz was playing with Bella outside).  I finally got to eat some of the pie - doesn't it just look so scrumptious?
French Silk
I was still feeling a lot of pain in my ankle/leg. Luckily, my family is awesome, and I was still able to smile and enjoy their company. :)
Cruz! :)
At the end of the evening, after all of my family had left, I went back to the room to get some rest. Before I fell asleep, I had a wonderful Google+ hangout with my roommates, Brenda and Lucy. It was the first time I had seen them in like 5 days. I really missed them! We talked all about the fun they had over 4th of July break, and about my leg break. lol It really blows my mind how far technology has come. I mean, I essentially had a face-to-face conversation with my dear friends who are like 1300 miles away! It's just incredible...
They are so cute! <3
I was going to have to meet with the surgeon the next day (to schedule my surgery), so I couldn't chat with them for too long. I am truly thankful for everyone in my life. All of their support has made this experience much more bearable! :)
