It's All In The Little Things

Saturday, July 7.

*Disclaimer: This post may not be very coherent.*

This morning I got a nice visit from Michael and my YWiC girls, Nicole, Jen, Janie, and Alyssa. They had told me the night before that they were going to visit me, but I had no idea that they were gonna bring me fun stuff to keep me from going insane. lol :)
I really like Harry Potter, but these chicas really love it! So I thought it was super cute that they brought me some skelegrow (disguised as a Gimme Guava Keva Juice). ;)

Janie was holding the delicious donuts (which were orange and purple for some reason), and Michael brought some popsicles. :) Right away they told me to open the bag that Jen was holding.  Inside the bag there was coloring books, a harmonica, knitting stuff, a flower pot, and some other fun stuff.
My favorite was a list of activities titled: "Tasha's Survival List!!!" Created by: Jen, Janie, Alyssa, and Nicole, with contributions from Irene and Becca. The list included activities like: Learn an Eminen rap, find Waldo, go on line shopping, master the art of origami, catch up on blogging, end world hunger, complete an entire coloring book, grow flowers, make plans to run for president, and return to California and take over Google! Haha There are a total of 31 things on the list. My friends are so awesome and thoughtful! :)
My Survival List!
The month of July is usually a happy one in our family. It is summer and there are a few birthdays that get to be celebrated. My sister, Nic, and cousin, Alex, share the same birthday: July 1st. Nic had celebrated her's the weekend before, so this weekend was Alex's turn. I was a bit sad that I had to miss it, but it was probably for the better so I could rest.
Happy birthday, Alex!
Even though Alex's birthday was being celebrated, it was actually my Tio Beto's birthday. Happy birthday Beto! :) I was happy, because before he went to Alex's party, he stopped my my house to visit me. Well... I don't look very good in this picture, but Beto is awesome and is really good at making me laugh, so I thought I should post it just for him.
Tio Beto :)
I should also mention that I got a visit from my Tio Ado, who lives in Yuma AZ. I think Beto and Ado were happy they visited me because I gave them each a Google pen! haha Anyways... whenever I didn't have visitor, I was catching up on my blog while watching 24, a suspenseful tv show that was on Netflix. It had only been a couple of days that my ankle was broken, and I was getting a bit anxious about when I was gonna get to have surgery. Optimism seemed a bit far away...

"Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope or confidence." - Helen Keller
