Yay for Visitors!

Monday, June 25, Wednesday, June 26.

I was really excited to finally have visitors at Google.

My first visitor was Tra! She met me on the Alza campus and I printed her a visitor sticker in building 1950. I told her that there were a few cafes that we could eat at and she decided to go to Cafe Crave which is in Google West Campus. Today the cafe was serving chicken, fish, vegetables, fruit and dessert. I think she was surprised at how delicious it all was!

Next, I took Tra to see the Android OS statues. There is a statue for all of the versions of the operating systems. Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, and Ice Cream Sandwich. I think the statues are soo cute!

I didn't think Tra would have the full Google experience if we only ate at one of the Google cafes, soooo we went to Charlie's Cafe for some more dinner. Because we had already eaten at Crave, we ended up getting salads. After we got our food, we sat at one of the tables with Lucy, Ramya, and Ishy!

Can't forget about dessert! Our next stop was building 43. We went into Yoshka's Cafe for froyo, but sadly the machine had just been turned off. :( Oh well... Inside 43 there is a bunch of fun things to see: a Google phonebooth, giant Nexus phone, Google Earth dome thing, Google TV, and a Google Doodle pad. I walked Tra by Slice Cafe, Go Cafe, the gym, endless pool, and volleyball court. Then we went into building 41 where I showed her what a micro kitchen was. Oh, and I also pointed out the pool table and ballpit that was on the second floor!

The last thing I showed her was the slide, lobby area, and Big Table Cafe in building 1900. I also gave the same tour to my second visitor, Frank! Except we only ate at Charlie's because we didn't have time to get food from the other cafes. lol
Frank!
It is hard to explain to people why Google is so awesome, which made it so much more fun to show people some of the neat things that make the Googleplex so unique! :)
